URGENT!!! Rekordbox Playlist Error

Hello,

So, I just downloaded my friend music files from his harddrive to mine.

Then I exported his xml  files to my rekordbox to make sure I have the same cue points and playlist. The playlist appears on my rekordbox, but when I drag the music to play, a red message appears saying "Loading Error. File is Missing", but then when when I go to relocate files it says that no files missing. In preferences I choose my hard drive where the music files are and choose the xml file from my friend computer. I know that the problem is with the path os the music files, but i am unable tu direct rekordbox to those path.

Any idea?

That's because you're trying to use the XML, which points to his collection and the files from his drive. Even if you edit the XML file, you probably don't have the waveform / grid / cue data files, just the songs.

The recommended way to import them would be to connect the drive to your computer, and within rekordbox, click the songs under his DEVICE listing and add them to a new playlist (on that same device), and finally, right-click on the playlist and select Import Playlist. That will allow you to bring the songs AND the data over.
