Yes, sadly that is the only way in Performance mode.
I do understand why. When you're in performance mode there wouldn't be a reason to use it as tracks get analysed on import and have been prepped before being used in a live environment
Do I have this right? If I want to change the Analysis from Normal to Dynamic in PERFORMANCE mode, so far I always have to open the Preferences and change it there.
But there are situations, where I want to re-analyze a track, right in a playlist (in PERFORMANCE mode). For this I would right-click on a track within a list in order to show a contextual menu and to choose Analyze Track.
On the resulting dialog there's no option to choose between the two available Analysis modes. This would be very handy and therefore is my improvement proposal.

I know what you mean. But as it is now, it doesn't make sense to me. It shouldn't be a big deal to add a Normal and Dynamic option to the Analysis Setting dialog box, which is displayed via the contextual menu. The detour through the preferences is not helpful, if you alternately want to analyze tracks of different styles later.
I have the same problem for changing GATE playback in the settings.
It works fine in EXPORT mode, but its only available to be changed in PERFORMANCE MODE
That's because the gated hot cue function only works with PERFORMANCE mode.
@Pulse: this is not the case.

@perdo > But that still only functions on the software; not the hardware... so...?
@Pusle: ...so I use this feature, in software, in my track preparation process.
And would like to change it on the EXPORT settings when needed
