What is the audio buffer setting for the output devices (either config)?
Hi pulse
I recently bought rekordbox dj and trying to test it with my equipment. After some time of usage an error with sound quality occurs. I have recorded a video. This happens every time i use Rekordbox but takes some time to occur.
Some details on equipment:
Macbook Pro late 2011 15.4’’ Core i7 2.5 16GB ram with SSD
OS High Sierra 10.13.6
Rekordbox Dj 5.5.0
2xXDJ-700 firmware 1.13
Xone 23c latest driver
Using the Xdj as midi in Performance mode and xone23c as sound card but i tried with xdjs as soundcard connected analog to the mixer and i have the same problem. Please see the video. Notice that most times if i disable master tempo sounds good but sometimes not. When i load a different track is ok and the i can reload the track i had problem and its ok. Most of my music is in ALAC format.

Hi Pulse
Thank you for your interest. I think is not the buffer. I tried up to 256 and didnt fix the problem. The loading bar is low when It happens. You can see that on video. I can play for 2 hours perfect and then it comes. When i change the track works ok again. I have no more time to experiment for now. I use them in Link mode and decode all my library to AIFF. That works perfect for now. I will try again at the end of the month and inform you.l
Ps the problem comes only kn one deck. So it cant be the buffer.
Thanks -- some users have it set ridiculously low and that's pretty much what it does as well.
Is it only specific songs that do that? Like ALAC only?
im not sure but the one in video is ALAC. I can try with a session of lossy only files with the following set up. Xdjs as midi and allen & heath as soundcard. I need your suggestion here. 96 khz and 256 buffer seems ok? Xone starts drops at 32 with 96khz . I will play only lossy and if no problem then only ALAC. And if i set the xdjs as midi and sound 48khz and again 256. That setttings i thing is safe for my mac i7 2.2 16 ram ssd. What do u think?
Try setting the audio interface samplerate to 48kHz or 44.1kHz (on the audio tab of the preferences).
