Pioneer DDJ RZX/ Rekordbox 5.X new features
It would be nice if you provided an update in rekordbox DJ to customize the 8 pads of the DDJ RZX controller similar to what you've done with the newer controllers to leverage the new features in Rekordbox 5.X. The DDJ RZX is supposed to be the "Flagship" controller but there hasn't been any updates (Firmware, etc) since the end of 2017. I've invested a lot of money into the controller and it seems like it's been forgotten.

With the DDJ 1000 you can customize your pads in Rekordbox DJ to your preference. I would like to have the same option with the RZX rather than use Midi to customize. For example, if you want to use "Keyboard" you need to erase "Slicer" features through Midi and add Keyboard. With the DDJ 1000, you can do it within the software. This should be available for all DDJ controlers

I agree, the PAD EDITOR would be great to have for all hardware, but unfortunately it's not available at this time. You have already found the work-around, which is to remap the MIDI assignments.
