Official comment
M4A files are typically AAC or ALAC audio (the M4A is the wrapper).
If your CDJ can't play them, they may be outside of the specifications for the bit depth and sample rate:

No me reconoce M4a Y WAV
acabo de actualizar la ultima version y no me lee los ultimos temas que importe que son m4a y wav , estoy usando una cdj nexus 2 , eso es lo raro, la cdj esta actualizada con su ultima version
