Connecting DJM 250 mk2 to BUTT via external soundcard

Hi there,

I've been trying to figure out how to do this for over 2 weeks now. I read all the articles and discovered that if I am using DVS i need an external soundcard to broadcast to BUTT from my DJM 250 mk2.

I bought a Behringer UMC22 to try and do this, but am still not getting anywhere. Is there a manual somewhere for this or can you help me out?

Thanks!

That guide works with the DJM-250MK2; where are you getting stuck?

Also I am getting stuck at the point where it says to open up "studio" in OBS...

There is no such feature with BUTT

I have downloaded sound flower, and I can actually get a signal, but then I am not able to use the mixer or rekordbox for mixing.....

Thanks!

If you get that far, you've already got everything else set - you just need to configure BUTT. There are plenty of guides online to get you through those steps when combined with the information I've provided.

Thanks for your response. I have looked through all guides (spent much of the weekend researching), but still am coming up short. Do I need to use and external sound card, or should it be possible without?

Nope, everything as provided work the same as with OBS; it's just going to a different software -- same mechanisms.

ok so:

in rekordbox all settings are ok as i showed in picture;

in the mac utilities then sound window i have selected the input as DJM 250 and the output and soundlfower.. then the audio device as soundflower in BUTT.. is this correct?

Also to add (sorry for multiple messages) I thought i got a signal through soundflower, but it was actually my mac's mic that had not been muted. I have now muted it and am back to no signal whatsoever... I can sometimes see one green light flickering, but I've tested the volume levels and this doesn't affect it..

Apologies for sounding like a broken record, but this is just not working for me. Have you tried using BUTT? Any guides you can recommend because I've exhausted a lot of avenues already...

Thanks again for your continued help!

Just as another addition, if anyone is reading this, I've downloaded Soundflowerbed as well, which allows you to configure soundflower. I can now get iTunes to connect to BUTT, but not rekordbox. The next steps I tried were to create a multi-output device and aggregate input device to see if that will get it to work. Still however no luck, but i think it must be something to do with the Audio MIDI setup tool in utilities in the mac....

If anyone figures it out, please help!

Thanks :)

Hi,

I'm still unable to get it working. Are there any other ways to set it up?

Thanks
