My Active Loop enabling has disappeared?

I used to be able to hover my Mac mouse over the orange loop symbol in Hot Cues and click it to change to a status red Active Loop - now I cannot change the orange Hot Cues into Actives through this method.

Is this something that has changed with upgrades - I'm on 5.6.0?

Is there another way of adding Active Cues available to me?

Okay - think I got it.

Procedure is to create a fresh Hot Loop then press Memory to get it to jump into the Memory box, then hold the cursor down onto the orange loop symbol to turn red (Active) ie. I cannot reconfigure an existing Hot Loop into an Active one retrospectively.

Has this changed? I don't recall it being this way before?
