I'm going to assume you mean the SP-16...
Which firmware is on the unit?
OSX latest on MBP
latest firmware and TSP
44k samples FAT32 Stick
all of a sudden the TSP stops exporting the samples to the stick with the scene file.
reformatted everything, restarted all, put the source samples inside pioneer folder.
can browse and use samples added to stick by hand but no exporting from tsp anymore which I want.
any help or suggestions appreciated
Lex

Which firmware is on the unit?
Hi pulse
Its's a DJS-1000 (with no forum of its own I saw posts about topics being here)
the Firmware is the latest from your site as of about 48hours ago.
scn file is writing to the stick but that's about all, once in the DJS it doesn't see anything on the stick.
was working fine then suddenly not.
trying to work out if this is software or hardware side.
thanks
How are you saving it? If you use a package, they're all bundled - but if you use Save As, it will create the following folder structure:
- PIONEER DJ SAMPLER
\
+ Projects
+ Samples
|\
| + <Sample Folder>
+ Scenes
+ System
Using export from DJS-TSP is what's not working
If samples are placed in the file structure you mention on the stick then the samples can be browsed and loaded. its exporting a scn/kit made on the computer thats not working as expected.
because it 'has' worked in the way we're trying we're assuming that it's not user error.
we've reinstalled, re-formatted sticks etc.
thanks
Ah, you didn't say that - in the last reply you said "DJS-1000" as opposed to the software.
I'll have to check on that, I've always used the project export which bundles them all up.
thanks
its the 'project export' that we want to use.
we've dropped samples in the folder as a workaround.
I've been listing the issue as DJS and software because we don't know which one it is.
thanks
@alex > The official response is:
Sample files themselves are not saved. Only the file path of the assigned sample file of the projects or scenes are saved.
If you want to use prepared samples in the unit, use the export feature to save them in a bundle.
I have been having similar issues with the Mac OS DJS-TSP software refusing to export to a wide range of different USB drives. The manual states:
Supported media : USB device (USB mass storage class)
However, DJS-TSP seems to be far more fussy about what USB drive you use than that.
Can you ask the dev team for more specifics regarding recommended USB disks please? Might there be a fix for this behavior in a future update?
Thanks
@Jonathan > FAT32 (with MBR) or HFS+ should both work, and we've tested a variety of drives, but don't have a comprehensive list as there are simply too many available on the market.
I understand you not wanting to make any promises regarding what will work but any additional information you can provide would be very helpful to me and other customers. I have tried 4 new drives but the only one that works for me so far is a relatively low capacity (32GB) and slow (USB 2.0) old one that I had lying around. Do only USB 2.0 drives work? Is there a maximum capacity beyond which they don't work? I have been sticking with Sandisk - is that a reasonable strategy?
Thanks,
Jon
Me again.
I thought that the issues I was having, where 4 out 5 USB drives I have tried cannot be exported to by DJS-TSP, were due to the drives themselves being incompatible with the DJS-TSP software. However I have a couple of hardware/OS configurations here and more digging suggests that the problem only occurs when DJS-TSP is running under Mac OS Catalina:
2016 MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.15.1 - DJS-TSP cannot export to most USB drives
2016 MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.14.6 - DJS-TSP can export to all USB drives
The hardware is identical and what kind of USB C adapter I use does not seem to matter.
Is there an update for DJS-TSP in the works for Mac OS Catalina?
Jon
@Jon > Did you configure the macOS security settings for the DJS-TSP to allow it to access removable devices? That's new in Catalina.
I'm late to this conversation, but i've followed it and never saw an answer that worked for me. I've tried a few different flash drives with no success. Ive tried formatting them to fat32 with mbr, no success. DJS has full disk access in catalina. Any suggestions?
What's funny is I just tested this by removing the DJS-TSP application from my security exemptions and I was still able to export to a USB drive.
Try formatting it to Mac OS Journaled and see if that works?
