Can't get Rekordbox to record in Export Mode (or Performance Mode properly)

I'm going to start off saying I have a lot to learn about using Rekordbox and its many settings. I'm having two issues it seems, although the overall goal is to be able to record a mix. I have two XDJ-1000MK2's and one DJM-750. Let's look at this issue from two different perspectives:

  1. Export Mode: When in this mode the record icon is grayed out and the drop down to the right of it says (no choices) where I would expect an output option to record from. I checked my audio settings and changed them from "Built-in Output" to "XDJ-1000MK2" but it still doesn't let me choose the "Input Record." Honestly, at this point I'm not even sure if I'm playing with the right settings, but in Performance mode it shows the "XDJ-1000MK2" in the "Input Record" area, and that's why I'm guessing it's recording. Now let me get to my second issue and why I'm not using Performance Mode to record.... link to images to help visualize what I'm seeing: https://imgur.com/a/B8QL5NU

  2. Performance Mode: I can record in this format, but I'm unable to connect both of my decks to play from my laptop. I can LINK Deck 1, but Deck 2 will not register with Rekordbox. The two decks are connected via their ethernet cable. I also tried connecting a second USB from Deck 2 to the laptop, but that also didn't work (not that I thought it would--but I was ready to try anything). I'm guessing it has something to do with the way I'm linking them, but I can't figure it out. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I'm posting here because it seems the Pioneer Rekordbox forums are basically all but a ghost town and posting functionality doesn't work. Hay carumba.

Edit: I'm trying to make it work in Performance Mode (mainly because I've always wanted to use Performance Mode but used Export Mode b/c it worked for me out of the box). I took some pictures of what I'm looking at: https://imgur.com/a/EDNhunK. My issue is I can't get the two decks to link to one another. I can only play music from the one that I directly connect to my laptop via USB. I double checked that the ethernet cable between the two is connected. What confirms that this isn't the issue is I can play in Export Mode with only one deck connected to my laptop via USB and the opposite deck is still linking to Rekordbox.

Edit 2: I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XbljlypxEw and it lead me to buy a USB hub to plug each deck and the mixer into, and then plug them all into my laptop. I opened performance mode and it worked! I can play. I recorded a mix......and then when I listened to it I realized it was only recording one channel, deck 1. The story of working with these decks and this software is always fix one thing to find a new problem. Well, here are some images in case anyone can help me with this: https://imgur.com/a/PjAY06d

1) The XDJ wouldn't have the ability to record as that audio device is output only.

2) You should connect each of the players via USB for use in performance mode. Ethernet linking is for export mode.

ps) They're just as functional as the Beta forum is... if you're having problems posting, it could be due to your cookies or privacy settings blocking 3rd party cookies. Try clearing anything for *.pioneerdj.com, *.zendesk.com, and *.gigya.com.

Edit 1) See 2 above.

Edit 2) Yes, that would be because you connected things as they should be. ;)
