Rekordbox 5.6.0 update manager error

when trying to update from "Help > rekordbox Update Manager" menu, rekordbox displays an error message "Fix your internet connection environment and then try again."

Network is fine for any other program and I verified that there are no firewalls preventing rekordbox from working.
