Hi, this is definitely one for the Pioneer guys, unless someone else has an insight...
I have recently changed my work flow from just importing tracks directly to Rekordbox, to now sending them into iTunes first, for playlist organisation, then using the bridge function to import them into Rekordbox after that. I know iTunes is controversial, a lot of people don't recommend but it makes things super easy with all my many playlists, to just click 'IMPORT' and they re-update in Rekordbox.
However...
I've only ever been using .mp3s until now, and I've made sure my iTunes encoder import settings are DJ friendly (using the custom setting), BUT, I have recently begun purchasing .wav files.
What I'm curious to know is - when using the iTunes bridge to import to Rekordbox, is it importing the original track / quality or is it importing the new iTunes encoded format?
I'm just worried I'm going to import a load of .WAVs thinking they are the highest quality, only to find that Rekordbox is taking them in the encoded format (which is .mp3 320 kbps) and it's basically playing them as as compressed quality instead of the purchased quality.
Some help would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks
