XDJ-RX2 not displaying alphanumeric keys

Hi!

I just recently bought a XDJ-RX2 and analyze all my tracks in Rekordbox 5.6. When I use my USB with the RX2 and browse by key only the classic notation is displayed. But the tracks playing or the info tab show the alphanumeric key.

So only in the browse menu it is not displaying it correctly. Am I overseeing something or is this a bug?

Cheers

You have to set that preference on your export device as well.

Hey,

how did you get Alphanumeric keys shown in XDJ-RX?

I marked in rekordbox settings "Alphanumeric", but it does not show on the XDJ...

Did you also load the drive preferences / settings when you connected it to the RX2? Press and hold the MENU button if not, then call them up.

This is also an issue for me on the XDJ-1000. Everything was fine until I needed to analyze the key on some aac files that mixed in key wasn't working correctly on. After having rekordbox analyze the key on them. Everything went nuts on my export media. It shows Camelot notation in the playlist view and info view on the tracks like above but now won't show anything but classic in the category list views also as shown above. Doesn't matter if I load my settings into the deck or not.

I guess I can add this to the list of reasons why I'm looking at Denon Prime series gear as these things turn 5 years old.

I just got an RX2 and am having this issue. Is there a fix? Seems pointless to let you change the notation if you can't browse by it

I am also having this issue except in RB 6. I used to use the column to show the camelot notation after running through mixed in key. Now only the key will display where comments used to and only the classic key will show not the alphanumeric.

Export mode works correctly but not when I connect my USB.

Please help!

Thanks

Hey did anyone get a solution to this please?  I've just got an Rx2 and having the same issue on the Rx2 despite changing the settings on recordbox... thanks!

I think this is a firmware thing....  The browse function is still in classic notation..

However, if you had your songs in alphanumeric.. the first line Abm is 1A, followed by 1B, 2A, 2B, etc... even though it's the classic listing...  Not quite as intuitive as just looking at the numbers, but if you're mixing live.. the workaround is just to go a step or two up or down from the current key playing.

This is annoying - having the same issue on RX2. How do we get this on the devs radar @Pulse?

If rekordbox read the metadata for the key and it was stored in the database from that during import rather than being scanned by rekordbox and added from analysis, that may still happen.

@Pulse

All tracks in my Collection are stored in Camelot. Is there a way to then rebuild the rekordbox database? Ideally, this will then show Camelot on the controller?

Would simply re-analysing the tracks (including KEY) in the Collection, then exporting these updated files out to USB work?

Naturally, would have Alphanumeric analysis set in Rekordbox and Alphanumeric as key method of choice in the USB's settings.

Thanks in advance
