DJM 900 NXS 2 VU Meter Led turns off when mixer gets hot.

Hello I have a strange question when I mix for over two hours the 6b vu led meter just turns off and its dark and all the other one are on on channel 2. Its so strange I had the same thing happen with my old djm 900 nexus with LEDs it was the color fx filter button that went dark and didn't light up blue the fix was to replace the tact switch but on my nexus 2 its vu meter there is no switch lol. Everything else is fine and when it cools down it works again what could be the problem ? I know this is a head scratcher lol.

I have attached a video link showing whats happening.

Update Ive setup an RMA the problem could be a cracked solder.

I was going to say, it sounds like a bad solder joint or loose component, as that would affect the connection when the mixer changes temperature.

I have problems with my DJM900 NXS2 when playing for about 1-2h.
Sometimes the USB connection to a laptop seems to brake down and the mixer freezes (all lights stays on as they have been in the moment of crashing). Rekordbox does work without problems and did not crash!

The mixer requires to be restarted.

Hi again,

I returned the mixer back to the audio dealer. He was a bit of sceptic, why Pioneer is recommending this, because a Hardware fault is not obvious. Anyway I ask him that specialists should check the unit and he confirms.

However, please find a description of my issue below: (because I had to prepare something for the techsupport guys.)

Error Description

equipment:
2x XDJ1000 Mk2 (V1.41), 1x DJM900 NXS2 (V2.05), laptop,
record box (V5.70) DJM900 NXS2 Windows Driver (V1.210) Laptop: Core i7 7700HQ CPU, 16GB Ram, Windows 10.0.18362 Problem: At different intervals the mixer freezes. The LEDs of the channels freeze and no sound is available on the output.
The operation of the effect section is still working. The software on the laptop still works.
The error can only be corrected by switching it off and on again.
The time differences can range from 30 minutes to almost 3 hours. The "freezing" has always occurred so far as the laptop is connected via USB.
For this, the laptop has already been replaced with another laptop and a PC, the problem persists.
3 different USB cables were tested unsuccessfully. In addition, USB channel A and B were also tested unsuccesfully. It did not matter whether the sound card was used by the mixer or the sound cards from the XDJ1000
players and only the recording via USB was performed through the software. The problem also arose in connection with Traktor software and another laptop. So far, it has not happened unless a USB cable has been connected to the mixer.
The recording was then realized via the IOS APP DJM-Rec via the send / return section.
The problem could be re-done according to the following setup and test principle: • DJM900 is connected to both XDJ1000s via LAN Hub. • DJM900 is connected to the laptop via USB. • Record box (V5.70) is controlled via MIDI by the XDJ. • A transition is made every 30-40 minutes, otherwise the song runs in an 8-16 beat loop.
