Bad sound quality DDJ 1000

I've been rolling with Traktor for sometime now, 

But are wanting to make the jump over to Rekordbox just to make my work flow easier when it comes to playing out. 

I play digital and real vinyl and was thinking either the DJM 750mk2 or the DDJ 1000. 

I really like the idea of having the extra decks by having the 1000 but Ive heard the vinyl play back sound (phono) has terrible sound quality on real vinyl and only good for timecode ?

Why is the quality poor and is this going to be fixed with a DDJ 1000Mk2 ? Im happy to wait if it is, as its a beast of a controller. I just love my vinyls to much and could bear the thought of having poor play back,
