That's not how it should have been done...
So let me clarify; the rekordbox data is currently on drive D, but was previously drive C. Specifically, what settings did you change to point to D?

Rekordbox database empty
I have switched to a new laptop. I moved the data drive from one laptop into the other. It kept the same drive letter. In my old laptop Rekordbox was pointing to this D drive
I installed rekordbox on the new laptop. The default database was installed the c drive which is not the data drive. In the advanced settings of RB I changed the DB location to the D drive. The library is completely empty.
What has happened?

I am sorry for the confusion.it has always been on drive D.I moved this drive from one computer to another.The drive letter Remain the same,

Ah, okay - so did you move the settings files from the old drive to the new one? Otherwise rekordbox is looking for the database on drive C, which is empty.
