DJM-900 NEXUS Recording problem

Hi, I'm from Belgium and have a problem to record my mix from my 3 deck (cdj-900nxs) and DJM-900nxs. I have a Macbook Air with the latest update Catalina v10.15. I have audacity all set up, but no sound at all !

In my Settings Utillity from the DJM-900nxs the Output is like this :

I sellect the DJM-900 nxs in audacity, set it to 8 channel recording in 44,100Hz, 24-bit. just like the DJM-900nxs send it through.

Does someone have a sollution for this issue? I'm really hope there is !!

Kind Regards, Elias

Sorry, but no Catalina support yet. Please check back after we have certified the driver functionality or updated the drivers.

Have to check, but there are issues with Catalina and DJ gear not being supported yet.  What Firmware are you running on the 900NX?

Although Catalina is not officially supported, there’s a workaround that has been reported to work for some (but not all) user with Catalina and Audacity 2.3.2:

  1. Go to Applications > Utilities
  2. Launch Terminal.app
  3. in the Terminal dialog type the following command following command:
    open /Applications/Audacity.app/Contents/MacOS/Audacity
(this assume that Audacity is stored in your Applications folder. If it is somewhere else, you will need to change the path in the above command.)
  4. Confirm the request for microphone permissions when requested.

For additional information about this workaround, see this post on the Audacity forum:
