XDJ-ZX Audio issues - Rekordbox Performance Mode

I cannot get audio our of the xdj-zx when using rekordbox performance mode. Tracks are playing but no sound. In the audio setting section i only see core audio.

Mojave 10.14.6 on macbook pro laptop.

I also do not see the controller in the audio midi set window.

I've installed the driver and restarted my mac (several times).
