Recording Issue

So, i have an issue with Rekordbox DJ and my DDJ RZ and I'm not sure where it's come from as I don't think anything has changed.

Just checked back on a recording and it's completely distorted - distorted base tones, like the levels are set way too high. I've gone back and checked my settings and it does it no matter what the master record volume is set to.

By having PC master output on as well as outputting to my monitors using the DDJ RZ it reduces the distortion considerably but even with the recording level right down it's still got distortion in the recording. The sound from the speakers is perfect

However, unplug the DDJ RZ and make a recording and there's no problem and the recording level is able to be adjusted. Any idea what's wrong? I'm running a mac with Mojave 10.14.6 and Rekordbox 5.8.1
