I've already have done this twice. All my music is saved on my external storage device and i've imported my whole collection into rekordbox using that. A few days later i open up the program with my storage device plugged into the computer and rekordbox is show my whole collection as missing files. why does this keep happening?
Do i need to keep all the files on the computer for this program to function properly? this is really annoying.
If you're using Windows and your external drive is getting a different drive letter when connected, it will show up as missing the next time it's different again. You're better to assign a permanent letter to that drive (eg. drive X:) - follow the instructions here.
