There are no soft-modifiers in rekordbox, your hardware modifier needs to alter the signal transmitted from the device.

Rekordbox Midi mapping improvements
would like to see the midi mapping expanded a little more than it is right now, the ability to map a shift key is most needed also jog mapping would be handy as if I had a shift key and jog mapping I could set my deck 3 and 4 to edit beat grid with my cdj's

Jog mapping would bring Rekordbox to the level of Traktor in terms of flexibility.
And no one is going to stop buying Pioneer decks because of this feature, if Pioneer makes good ones !
