Arabic Characters on XDJ RX2

Arabic characters on the XDJ-RX2 controller display screen aren't being read, and instead appear as (~~~~).

Upon looking through here, it looks like Pioneer fixed this issue in software (in Rekordbox) but not in hardware -- or at least not in the XDJ-RX2 controller.

Is there a workaround other than having to have your laptop? If you are an Arabic DJ, not being able to read Arabic character on the controller beats the purpose of buying this controller.
