That is correct - the sort only works with songs in your collection, not songs from an export device.

Sorting Options Unavailable
Hi all, I am currently using Rekordbox 5.8.4 but for some reason when I am playing songs in performance mode from an external drive (ssd) I do not have the ability to click the extended sort options..
It appears that this only works with songs that are in my Collection..
Hopefully this is a simple fix as I like this feature alot when mixing in key for my sets, I have attached a picture for reference
