Dummy device with 1 DMX channel and permanent value of 255

Dear PioneerDJ Team,

would it be possible to add a kind of "virtual" fixture to the database that has only a single DMX channel with a permanent value of 255 (independent to any phrase, mood, etc.)?

Let me try to explain the background of my request:

I own two T-bars Eurolite KLS-180.  Besides some small strobe LEDs (which are not important for me) these bars consist of four PAR lights.

I can add the fixtures to my venue and assign either a type of "Bar" or "Par". In general everything works fine, but the problem is that all four Pars act as a single device ( they are either all on, all off or all show the same colour).

Theoretically, each of the four Pars of this T-Bar could be controlled individually, if it would be possible to tell Rekordbox that each of the Pars is a single, dedicated device.

The Eurolite KLS-180 has a 21channel mode, where 16 of the channels are used to control RGBW information for each dedicated PAR (4*4 channels).

I thought about picking out a 4channel PAR fixture from the database (e.g. the Stairville Quad Par Profile, but there are dozens of equivalent fixtures) and assign it four times in a row to "emulate" the 4x4 rgbw channels of the KLS180.

However, there is a missing piece: I need to set the first channel of the KLS 180 to a permanent value of 255 ( this is the Dimmer) in order to let the 4 Pars control their colour and intensity on their own.

If you could implement a "permanent on" 1-channel Dummy fixture, this would allow similar workarounds also for other "multi-PAR" devices.

Many thanks in advance for your support!

Sorry, it's not possible under the current model structure to provide such a function, but I know there is a feature coming in a future update that will address this perfectly. Unfortunately I can't provide any additional information on timing.

Update:

Another solution that came to my mind was implementing the ability to click on an "unassigned" channel in the Lighting ==> Fixture Library tab and to enter a permanent value manually.

However, I assume that implementing such a feature would require rework in the Rekordbox code, while adding just another fixture to the database is a more simple solution.

I just want to give an update to this request:

Just tried the new options in Rekordbox 6.0. The ability to add up to three dmx devices that are not in the database solves my problem!

Now I have the ability to configure specific values e.g. for dimmer channels, strobe or fx rotation (which did not work well in RB 5).

Rekordbox 6 is a major step forward from my perspective, especially the new options in the Lighting mode give much more flexibility and control over how the fixtures can be addressed.

Many thanks for this!
