XDJ-XZ firmware 1.10 , how does the new MIDI feature works?

In the firmware 1.10 new features, there is a new “Mixer MIDI message” option in the Utility mode called “Send with time param”. What is the utility of that option? I have set that option but nothing seems different with the old “Send” option. Is it MIDI clock?
