DDJSR WINDOWS 10, SERATO DJ, NOT WORKING PROPERLY

Good evening,

I purchased a mk1 ddjsr recently, sadly ive only had the damn thing working about 4 times in that time, and always after approx 1 to 2 hours of angry issues and getting nowhere, I have now given up with it.

basically, I have updated the firmware and have the up to date drivers. I turn the unit on and I can load a track, press play on a track in serato or virtual dj, and it loads and the waveform moves. now the problem;

no sound from the computer to the pioneer to the speakers, also the pitch control does not respond, nor does the crossfader, I also have no lights on the gains. the only thing that works is the load track and play and cue buttons.

i had a suspect cable as it seemed that when i wiggled it after a while it would work, so i bought a new one, and it doesn't work at all, same problem, same symptoms.

not even wiggling works now and ive just wasted another evening of swearing and cussing this rubbish piece of kit.

i have also tried this unit on another laptop and my up to date top spec gaming pc and i am having the same issues, windows 8 on the other laptop, win 10 on the desktop one.

its almost like its a software issue and when it works its great, its getting that bit working that is frustrating.

i have searched this site and found not quite the same issues. please help as im about to take a hammer to it.
