XDJ RX2 w/ Technics 1210 MK2

Two weeks ago I bought myself a RX2. After 25 years of spinning on the wheels of steel I found it was time to step into the digital world. You're never to old to learn.

I removed my Dateq XTC mixer and hooked my babies on to the back of the RX2. So far so good. After some dj'ing with rekordbox and digital tracks today I felt like spinning up my turntables for a decent set. Now the problems are coming.

1. Maybe it's me, but the sound of the phone pre-amps is just terrible. At first it sounds okay, but while mixing I noticed a lot of decrease in sound quality. It's like the RX2 is limiting the output, while i'm never pushed the volume into the red. Is there a setting which I can try to change?

2. The sound color on channel 2 (phone) is not working as expected. When turning the color to the left it is cut off suddenly at 11 o'clock. On deck 2 it works well. On channel 1 both (deck 1 and phono) no problem. Playing with the parameter knob does not fix it. What can cause this?

3. On the left turntable the ground doesn't seem good. The sound is okay, but the turntable seems static. I checked if the ground fits right, but both turntables are grounded well. What van I do?

4. Using the effects while playing my records result in some squeezing. To me it feels like the mixer can't handle all those analog sound quality and can't process it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
