pioneer dvs djm 450

Hello i am wondering if anyone can help me with a query. I am currently using 2 1210 technics with a djm 450mk2. i have two timecode vinyls for using with rekordbox dj. The CPU meter seems to randomly go through the roof, causing the audio to spike and lag, i hope that makes sense. i do not own the interface 2 for the dvs, is this a necessity when running this or do i not particularly need it? im assuming if this problem keeps happening it may be an issue that may require me to buy one of these.

My laptop is a 2019 i5 HP laptop with 8gb RAM although the processor is only 1.6/1.8 GHz
