Faulty channel volume fader

Hi,

I own a DDJ400, and out of nowhere the right channel volume fader started acting weird. When I turn it all the way up, it only goes up to about 80% in Rekordbox.

It's also very stuttery.

Now my question is: Will I lose my warrenty when I screw my DDJ400 open?

Has anyone else managed to solve this problem?
