PC i7 32gb ram Windows 10
RB6 installed on C-drive and also master database on C-drive. Music collection on external drive (usb 3.0) Everything in this setup goes okay in RB 5.85!
I found out, that most of the "laggy" and "slow" comes to the external drive with the songs.
Searchin a song in my collection is very slow,
but when I do this without my external drive(with my library)
it goes normal.
And start RB6 with external drive takes about 2 à 3 minutes,
because it looks like the program scans my library on my external drive before it starts.
Start RB6 start without external drive goes very fast,
maybe this is something for the engineers
Well there's the problem! It should still load pretty quickly; my 52K doesn't take more than 30s.

Is the external drive a conventional hard drive or SSD?

It's a conventional hard drive lacie porsche design 4tb.
I've tested this with 2 i7 windows 10 laptops, with 2 lacie external hd's and both Rekordbox 6
Both have the slow start of 3minutes.
Both have a fast start with Rekordbox 5.85
