Rekordbox 3 for iOS - unable to play tracks from mobile device on CDJ

With previous versions of the iOS app, we could plug in our mobile phone to a CDJ, launch the app and start DJ'ing.  All that was needed was a lightning cable to plug into a Type A port on top of the unit.

Now with the new Rekordbox 3, we're asked to get a fancy lighning to ethernet adapter, then find a ethernet cable, then a hub, and then hook up to 2 or 4 CDJs.  Sadly, most venues I've played at just have 2 CDJs that are networked together. No ethernet hub.  So for me to play an 'impromptu' set, I would need to bring a hub, a bunch of ethernet cables, a clunky adapter and then fiddle with the rear of a CDJ.

Can we bring back the option to just use Rekordbox app via the USB port on top of CDJs like before? Why was this functionality removed?

There are 3 ways to connect.

And the reason why is with this connection method (as opposed to connecting as a device to the top of the player), is they all use the networking chipset through these connections, which allows for use of higher quality / bitrate files, as well as a more reliable connection with the players.

I'm sorry this requires a change, but it's a necessary improvement.
