DJ controller not connecting to any software!?

I recently purchased a DDJ-WeGo2-k from a friend. They previously had it working on their computer, but when I went home to plug everything in, Serato & Rekordbox was not picking it up. I updated drivers, Downloaded the most recent firmware, setup the cables accordingly to the manual, but my controller still doesn’t work when I try to press buttons or use the turn table. It lights up, and says it’s connected to my computer and speakers. I even unplugged the cords and plugged them into different sockets, I bought 2 of the same cables just to be sure it wasn’t the cables, I uninstalled both Rekordbox and Serato, reinstalled, but still... it won’t work. I’ve been trying for days now, I don’t know what is wrong.
