Memory stick issues

Got 2 brand new samsung usb's. At first reckordbox and cdj 850s wouldn't read them. I needed to format both to fat32. I've now done that and they were recognised by reckordbox but only load I cdj first time after formatting then after wont work at all.

You may need to reformat them a couple of times, even when it's newly formatted, I have had to reformat a couple of times to have it take.

Possibly - we can't guarantee functionality of all USB drives with our CDJs. While USB3 is supposed to be backwards-compatible for USB2, it doesn't always happen and some memory chipset managers on USB and SSD drives can conflict with the players.

Make sure that you've got it formatted FAT32 with MBR (Master Boot Record) or Apple File System (HFS+).

I have of those exact Samsung Bar Plus USB 3.1 flash drives, but 32GB. They work without issue on 2000NXS(1)’s, but I could also not get them to work correctly on the 850’s.

When I have to play on 850’s l use a pair of SanDisk Ultra Flair USB 3.0 drives and I have had much more success with them, although I have had issues with them too here and there.

I wonder if USB 3.0 vs USB 3.1 is the culprit, although I was more under the impression that there is actually no difference and it is more a marketing gimmick used by the tech companies....?
