Memory Cues

Hi All just wondering I have a DDj1000 and have hot cues set so many beats/bars before the drops . I have been researching and have found out that to really use the bars/beat to go function on the drops I should instead set up memory cues not hot cues.

Do most of you out there use Memory cues more than hot cues to align double drops etc? 

How often do people actually use the beats/bars to go using memory cues?
