I have my whole music collection an external harddrive. Some weeks ago I moved to a new windows pc. Not sure if I`ve done a collection backup before moving cause I can`t find the xml backup file. When I load the tracks in rekordbox 6 it doesn`t show any cues/loops etc. ...so I also installed rekordbox 5 again, it recognized at last some cues to a couple of tracks but only some.
Is there a way to get my cue points/correct grid etc. back? Have they not been saved on the external drive with the files?? (I also have mp3 sticks filled with my collection including cue points etc. ...does this help?)

Hi Andreas,
The automated backups are not in XML format; only an XML export is. The backups are kept with the database; don't open/close rekordbox as you may still be able to recover it.
Did you move the database to the external drive or just the music?

Ok, If the backups are kept with the database then i don`t understand why rekordbox doesn`t recognize it. The thing that changed was my system harddrive (and a fresh install of rekordbox 5.8 and 6), my music harddrive is same.
Could you help me what to do next please? (I even have my old system harddrive cause I installed win10 on a new one,,,in case important files couldstill be found there..) thank you.
I have to prepare for gig in the next days..would really appreciate if you could help me how I could solve the problem..I don`t dare to open rekordbox at the moment to not lose a chance on recovering the data...
