PLX 500 Buzzing sound

Hi,

I have a problem with my PLX 500. Using the USB and Rekordbox to rip the vinyl I get no issues, no humming/buzzing sound.

However using the RCAs and connecting to my DDJ 1000 mixer i get a buzzing sound that comes and goes. Its intermittent. Using the phono and DDJ preamp its loud and you can hear it over the vinyl playback.

Using line in and the PLX inbuilt preamp its much less but still heard in the background while playing vinyl

Any idea why this would happen, I thought the PLX is internally grounded?

The only other thing I can suggest is to check that the cartridge and headshell are properly connected - failing that, it could certainly be a fault within the PLX itself, at which point I'd direct you to please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your turntable inspected and/or repaired. Thanks!

The PLX-500 is internally grounded, however it's possible there is still a ground loop occurring between the products. It could also be due to your connection to the computer - if you disconnect the USB cable from your computer to the DDJ-1000, does it stop?

Hi,

It happens without the USB without the laptop even being there on the same table.

All thats connected to power is the DDJ and turntable. The noise is there with/without laptop doesnt matter
