Audio via HDMI?

anyone ever have it where you are plugged into a TV via HDMI and rekordbox can't play the audio through the TV? I am able to get TV audio from my computer (mac mini m1) to tv via HDMI with Ableton and youtube

I'm not able to get this to work either. You can select the TV from the rekordbox audio device prefs, but after 2s it fails and falls back to 'no audio'. If you select the DDJ-FLX4 and tick use computer audio... same outcome.

Is this deliberately blocked or is it expected to work? Playing other audio through TV no problem.
