Please add option to auto-add memory cues every 4 bars during track analysis

I agree but my XDJ700's for some reason don't have beat jump - Can that be added to the XDJ700? That would be the best option.
Even a simple 4 bar jump would probably enough. It would make a real difference in quickly navigating phrases boundaries. It makes it hard to learn a technique on my DDJ1000 and transfer it over when I play out on my xdj700s. 

Otherwise what is the cap on the memory points and why is there a limit?

Lastly - can I set memory points on my DDJ1000 directly? I thought I could using the memory button when I tried before but then last night when I was playing it didn't seem to work.

I get that, and the XDJ-700 predates the beatjump function, however again you'd run out of memory points on a track. Why not set hot cues?

DDJ-1000: Yes; set a main cue (find the location you want, press play/pause, then CUE), then press the MEMORY button to store it.

The problem with setting hot cues (or any cues) is that they need to be set in advance for every track which is really time consuming - plus you can only get limited hot cues. 

When I was DJing with Traktor I could load up any track, set a 4bar loop at the beginning, hit play on a phrase start of the current track and then turn the dial to drag the loop in the new track back and forward in 4 bar steps to quickly hear the different parts of the incoming track - where the hihats/vocals etc would come in, all while staying "in phrase" then I could decide where I wanted to start from - and it might be different each time I played it - if I was approaching a longer stretch on the current track I might give a longer runway on the incoming track or maybe I want to get straight to the drop or just the play the end of the track. I had complete freedom to choice when I played the track from - easily in phrase and without having to setup anything in advance.

On the DDJ1000 I can do the same thing with the beat jump - although I  preferred the Traktor method with a dial as it was faster, the unlabelled buttons confuse me  - I'm not really sure the point of having so many different divisions - I only ever use 4bars - maybe there is another performance use-case. Also sometimes the beat jump doesn't seem to be quantised properly.

With hot cues it's harder to quickly go forward or back exactly 4bars/8/12/16bars from the hot cue position. Also if I can see /or hear that the drops around going to line up, I was able to quickly shift the incoming track back/forwards to line them up.

Sometimes I also "play" the beat jump in order to briefly add some upcoming element and then come back.

The main thing though is just being able to be navigate the track quickly in 4 bar sections and stay in phrase without spending ages setting loads of cues manually.

Is adding a 4bar back/forward to the xdj700 completely out of the question?

Tom, check the phrase analysis for lighting, it basically does what you wish for but MUCH better. That's what i use now.
