USB Enters Emergency Loop

I have played two gigs in the last two weeks, both times I was playing with CDJ2000NXS. The first was with an EMTEC 64G USB and then with a Kingston DataTraveler Exodia 128g. I bought the new Kingston because during the set with the EMTEC the USB crashed and went into an emergency loop about 40 minutes into the set. However, this week I played with the Kingston and around the same time, 40 or so minutes in, the same thing happened. They were different songs being played each time it happened. I am now thinking it is an issue with my Rekordbox. Maybe the way I am importing/exporting?

Any help or suggestions?

If the error occurred on a linked player, it could be the connection between players. If it was on the player with the device itself, it could have been an error with the drive, the contents, or an electrical issue that caused a read error.

I'd suggest that given that drive sells for $20, it's probably the drive that's causing the problem. Try using a different make/model. I personally swear by SanDisk Extreme Pro USB drives, but I'll add our standard disclaimer:

Pioneer DJ does not guarantee 100% compatibility with any USB drive. Functionality of one drive does not guarantee functionality of another identical make / model drive. Manufacturers are known to change the memory controller chip per availability or cost, and as a result, there is always a chance that a drive may not be compatible with the player host chipset. Recommendations or the results of another user may not be the same for you and your drive.

Hey, potentially the same issue here although w/ a slightly different setup. As of now, no idea why this is occuring.

My player (XDJ-700) went into Emergency Loop when a track was playing. All of a sudden the library was corrupted and completely unplayable.  The track was previously playing just fine and I didn't do anything new.

Never ejected the USB incorrectly, made sure the formats were all correct (i.e. 16-bit AIFF, which are supposed to be supported for this player).

USB: Kingston Datatraveler Exodia 128GB, was formatted to OS X Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled) when this happened

Player: XDJ-700

Rekordbox 5.8.6

… Was I syncing things wrong?  Is the USB crap?  Is the USB formatting, i.e. Mac OS X Extended (Case-Sensitive, Journaled), incorrect? This last one I'm wondering about in particular because apparently case-sensitive journaled affects compatibility for some software applications, but I'm not sure this is the case with rekordbox.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Thanks Pulse for the reply. Hoping the issue won't recur once the USB is upgraded, assuming that the cheap USB is the key issue.
