Moving Rekordbox to new computer destroys library synch

I have a problem with moving a "hybrid setup", meaning some files in the RB cloud, others still just on the local hard drive, to a new computer, because the link to the cloud is lost on the new computer

SETUP:
I run RB 6.5.3 incl. Creative Plan for Cloud library on a Windows 10 laptop and iTunes incl. iTunes match is my music backbone. As my laptop is getting old and lacking space I want to move all the stuff to a new Windows 10 laptop.

1) Transfer iTunes
I copied the entire music library via external drive to the new computer and when starting iTunes for the first time I pointed it to the folder. All playlists and files were immediately recognized. I turned on iTunes Match and it recognized that these are the same playlists and files, so no duplicates were created --> JUST PERFECT!!

2) Transfer Dropbox
I installed dropbox and started synching so that the songs which I have uploaded to the rekordbox cloud on the old computer would be there on the new computer.

3) Transfer Rekordbox
I created a backup of the library and transferred the file (4 GB) to the new computer where I restored the library from the file. Cloud synch was turned off in that moment to avoid any disturbance. It rebuild the entire library with all playlists, cue points, synch manager settings (so which playlists to import from iTunes) etc., which is very good.

4) Problem
The link of the files which are in the cloud was lost. The songs still appear in the respective playlist and all information incl. artwork is correct, but they point to the itunes location of the new laptop not to the cloud. When I say "Upload track to Dropbox" a duplicate is created in dropbox, which I see by the ending ".... (2).m4a"

Has anyone experiences with this? Any help is appreciated!

Did you run a relocation for missing files? If you did, it may have relocated the songs as being in iTunes instead of Dropbox.

In order to make this more efficient, I'll ask you to please file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.

Dear Pulse,
thanks for your quick response. I have posted an inquiry ticket (#314325).

A general comment: I love your general videos and explanations in the forum about moving the RB database etc. but I think they don't fully apply for the new setups since RB 6.0, when you are using cloud library synch. Could you do a video/text where you explain a move in a cloud setup. Because on the on hand it should be much easier than in the past with the database (and the music files) being synchronized/transferred via the cloud, but this is just not the case, because the cloud doesn't recognize your new PC as the backbone/original source of all music files. At least in my experience. Thanks!
