Non-square artwork is not displayed properly

Hi!

Some of the songs in my library have an unusual aspect ratio for the album artwork (let's take 16:9 as an example). I've noticed that since v6.5.3, those images are padded on the top and on the bottom with black bars, to make them into a square. This means that for those songs, in the artwork column in the collection view all I see is black images. I'm more of a visual person, so when searching for songs, I find it much quicker and easier to find them by artwork than by reading the song/artist name. I don't know if the change in 6.5.3 was an intentional feature or an accidental bug, but could someone look into it please? If the new behaviour was intentional, would it be possible to add a toggle to enable/disable this in the settings please? This change is making me stay on 6.5.2, but I'd love to update my macOS to v12 (I'm waiting on 11.6 purely because of this) and for that I need to get Rekordbox 6.6.1. I'm attaching pictures to show what I mean.

Thank you very much for your time.

The behavior of showing artwork was changed to improve the browse performance of rekordbox 6 - the black bars are added if the artwork is rectangular, and thus show the top of the artwork on browse screen. Unfortunately the best work-around for you would be to crop / reformat the artwork using a metadata editor. Sorry.
