Beatgrid problem with 1st beat

Hello!

Here Christian,

I put music with my ears but....I have a problem, in rekordbox my track doesn t start with the grid for 1st beat...1st beat is at 2nd beat...I know I can set the beatgrid how I want, but when I send the track to another peoples, the problem remains...so I cannot send the track because in this situation I need to say to everybody to change beatgrid in rekordbox :)))

Is here somebody with experience to help me please? I want to have my track with the start for 1stbeat. I try already in Ableton to export the track with less minutes or more, I try already to save beatgrid in rekordbox but remains only for me the settings, isn t save in the track to be same for all downloads.

Thank you in advance,

I m here for any details,

Best regards!

Blaj Cristian

beatgrid info gets stored in rekordbox and not inside the track, that's the reason

Thank you for your answer. I know this, but isn t any solution to export or save the track with the beatgrid? When I will send it to another djs to have same beatgrid?

First of all, sending tracks to other people might violate the law on copy right in lots of countries.

But even storing beatgrid data in the track doesn't make sense. If all different music software would store their propretary data in the track, you can have significant issues when playing tracks in other software. i.e. tracks with rekordbox data may have problems in Traktor or Serato or other software. As People using multiple software, this  would 'polute' the tracks with a lot of overhead. As long as this additional data isn't standardized - which probably never happens - I don't want to have a software alter the track I am loading into it. Think of a buggy software corrupting all your tracks once loading them into it...

In addition it wouldn't be compatible with CDJs from Pioneers (not sure about the Controllers). All would need Firmware updates. Older models wouldn't get any and would require a different rekordbox version supporting the 'old way'. I think there is simply no business case for such a request which would need to prove it is worth the money for the development effort.

Just my 2 cents.

It s about bandcamp, I want to upload my track there, people can download the track after the paymant

You're right it's not ok for anyone to be able to change. So it's clear that I have a probably error from Ableton, I'm still waiting though someone may know how I can proceed with this situation ( to save or make a good beatgrid for my track because in Ableton look good but in rekordbox no )
