Master output through mixer and headphones through PC? Possible?

Hi. I recently discovered that the headphone output chip in my DDJ-400 had snapped, and therefor I am unable to use the headphone jack in the mixer. I still want to DJ while i wait for my replacement part, so I thought that I wanted to have my master output to go through the mixer master output, and then channel my headphone output through my PC and plug my headphones into my PC aux jack.

I tried clicking the "Output audio from the computer's built in speakers and your DJ equipment" in rekordbox settings, but whenever I try to change the output for headphones or master, it just refuses to let me use two different outputs. It just reverts all my outputs to be the same. Am I doing something wrong?

Optimally, what i want is for the settings that I have posted a picture of below to say "Master output: DDJ-400 WASAPI: MASTER" and the headphone to say "Headphone output: Realtek HD audio 2nd output..." But it doesn't let me choose two different outputs.

I hope that this made sense, and if not I will be glad to try and explain better.

Thanks in advance

Ebbe Hector

Yes, it's possible. How I fixed the same issue: the selected sound driver is my external audio interface, and the RCA connectors (at my audio interface) are: left for speakers, right fot headphones. Both connected to an external mixer, headphones to the tape-in, the signal for the speakers through a di-box to the xlr input, and 2 track to ctrl-room is pressed.

But this can also be done by splitting the outgoing signal from the controller. Just make sure you make from one mono signal two mono signals before sending it to the speakers
