Same issue - Not Enough Space Error - but there is!

I am having the very same error which has actually only just started the last couple months.  I have reformatted my stick as described, now for the 3rd time(!!!) and still have the same problem.  When I view the storage I can see that I have well over 50gb left, yet it won't even sync a playlist which contains 5 tracks!! 

It is simply not possible or acceptable to use the format function as a fix for this everytime I want to update my stick, it takes way too much time and is really inefficient when the sync manager should be able to do the job. 

Was there an update to the solution as I can not find one and so am still stuck with the problem. Thanks.
