Lighting Mode transfer

I've read though a dozen or so posts and haven't found a clear/current answer on this topic. I would like to be able to transfer lighting macros to another rekordbox instance. I see there is a lighting mode export and also have read about copying the lighting database files. I also know I can export/import my music collection. My question is: what is the order of operations? Do I export my music from machine 1, import it to machine 2, and then export+import the lighting library? Or the other way around?

Is it possible to import just a select set of songs (a playlist) instead of my whole collection and still map the macros?

A deeper explanation would describe how the entities in the sqlite db are related. Even if Rekordbox is unable to support this now, I could make direct edits to the db to ensure the songs and macros have the right mappings.

Open rekordbox and go to Lighting Mode, then click File > Library > Export Lighting Settings. On the destination computer, do the same but Import.

It will backup all lighting settings, not just a selection of the macros. If you want to backup the library / playlists as well, you would do that separate from the lighting.

We do not recommend making any edits to your database directly.
