You should be able to have the turntable set to phono output with the ground cable running to the mixer, and have the mixer set to USB to use DVS then change the mixer to phono to listen to regular analog vinyl. There's no need to swap the cable unless you don't have the turntables in phono mode as well. I've done it that way ever since I've used dedicated DJ mixers and it's worked fine. No need to switch as I said.

FollowDJM 250 Mk2 - Mixing between DVS and Vinyl
Hello,
I know that I need to have my PLX 500's plugged into the phono input to use DVS, but if I then try to use 'normal' vinyl on the same channel, the sound is distorted - presume because it's pre-amped from the turntable and again by the mixer.
Is there any way to freely mix between DVS and vinyl or do I need to keep unplugging the RCA cabled and switching them between phono and line sockets between mixes?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply - the PLX 500 turntables are internally grounded but in checking after your comment, I found a phono/line switch on the back of it that I didn't know about! Switching that to phono and it all works perfectly now - so thanks!
