DJM 750Mk2 + brand new Mac Book Pro- crackling issues

Spent the past 2 weeks trying to resolve this, tried all the various "fixes" and tweaks I could find all over the net. I am getting low to severe crackling over USB, trying to record into any program on my new MacBook Pro (specs below). This all works fine on my previous macbook pro (late 2011 model).

DJM- latest firmware and driver. Mixer output USB 1/2 set to REC.

Primarily trying to use OBS, but I am seeing this in any program. OBS is the latest version.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports),

2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5,

16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4,

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB

OBS set to 48 Khz to match the mixer. Tried changing the buffer settings as well.

Tried different cables - USB b to C, and and B to A (with an adapter), and Ferrite shielded cable.

CPU utilization is low, I don't believe this is a latency issue.

Anyone have any ideas? I am at my Wit's end and about to return my macbook!

Hey Soma,

I don't see any tickets open under this username, so unable to find anything for you there - if you used a different user / email, let me know and I can look for that info and who was helping you. As I posted in response to Stefan's topic here, have you verified that the additional functions of rekordbox 6 are disabled if you're not using them? Video, Lighting, Lyric, DVS... they're all enabled by default (unfortunately), so go through the preferences and disable any you're not using. I'd also suggest you try using the Intel Turbo Boost toggle tool to see if that helps with the audio crackling.

I am experiencing the same crackling noises during playback and when listening to the recorded audio. I am also using the new 2020 MacBook Pro with my DJM-450.

I think the DJM drivers need to be updated to work with the new 10th‑generation Intel Core i5 processor.

I agree 100%.  I opened a ticket with pioneer and they proceeded to ask me to re-do all of the troubleshooting steps I have already tried (and listed when I opened the incident) and then they stopped responding to me.  Haven't gotten a reply from them in weeks now.

I have tried using Turbo Boost Switcher (v2.10.2) with the latest DJM-450 driver (3.0.0) and the latest version of Rekordbox (6.5.0) with Turbo Boost disabled. I have disable all Rekordbox additional functions (DVS, Video, Lyric, Lighting). I am still experiencing continuous crackling noises during playback and when listening to the recorded audio when using my DJM-450 and Rekordbox with my 2020 MacBook Pro (13-inch, 10th-gen 2 GHz Intel i5, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) running the latest operating system (Big Sur 11.2).

It seems like Pioneer DJ has not fixed this crackling noises issue with the latest DJM-450 driver (3.0.0) update.

Has this been fixed? It's 2022 and I'm still getting stutter and crackles on my djm750 MK2 running traktor pro 3 on my MacBook. Everything is updated. What's going on Pioneer?
