DDJ-400 Headphone sound stops working

During my first couple of weeks, the DDJ-400 used to work just fine. After that, I noticed that the sound stops playing in my headphones after a few minutes (2~3 tracks in).
The only solution I've found so far was to either unplug the USB cable and plug it back in or to restart rekordbox (6.0.4)
I've tried going as far as setting the buffer size to 1024 but the same behavior is still happening. Is this a defective unit by any chance?

Mac mini (2018)
Processor: 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5
Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Rekordbox: 6.0.4

Hey Filipe,

Is there a chance that you've somehow assigned the DDJ-400 as the default audio device for the OS? Open the Audio MIDI Setup application and look to see where these icons appear:

In this image, you can see my monitor is set to handle the system alerts, but the speakers are set for the main sound output. If the DDJ-400 has any of these, right-click on the internal device to configure that as the output device.

You can also check the audio configuration in the rekordbox preferences to see if the headphone output is set properly.
