master tempo causing my tracks to severely redline/clip
After using rekordbox and specifically the master tempo function with no issues on my old hp windows laptop I upgraded my laptop to a new macbook pro. Through using the sync manager, I transferred my collection and playlists over to the new mac via a usb 3.0 that i formatted to the fat32 format as advised by various tutorials. I soon realised that my songs would redline very easily on my mac despite the trim being in the same position that i used to have it on my old windows laptop. the red lining continues despite adjusting the trim to around the 9 oclock position, resulting in my songs sounding overly quiet. I have tried adjusted the headroom in settings to -12db but i never had to do this on my old laptop and it means my sets at parties sound too quiet. I ended up taking the mac back and exchanged it for a new one and i even bought a new usb to transfer my songs again as i thought it may have been an issue with the quality of the music after transferring or an issue with the mac itself. Now with the new mac all setup and my music once again transferred the red lining still occurs but only when the master tempo is turned on, this also occurs with new music that i have only ever downloaded to my mac so the transferring process is clearly not the issue and nor is it an issue with the mac or the usb i used. when the master tempo is off the music plays perfectly and the trim can comfortably sit at the 11 oclock position, however, the second i select master tempo the red lining occurs again and i have to frantically turn the trim excessively down. I am concerned as my old laptop never used to do this, is there a setting in rekordbox that can solve this without adjusting the headroom and without making my music sound quiet. Master tempo is a feature that i used to use with no issue and i would like to continue to use, i have read no other threads with people having the same issue but this cannot be a one time thing due to replacing my mac and usb. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.
