It's probably to do with the Intel Turbo Boost. See this article for more information; it applies to all hardware.
Hello, under windows 10 there is a problem with the record box sound. I use it with XDJ-XZ. At intervals (after 5 minutes) it gives a slightly crackling sound in the music. about 2 seconds. After that, the sound is good again. It takes another 5-8 minutes and again. It's been like that all night. I’m not sure, but if I’m not using the XDJ-Xz but the laptop with headphone output, it still does. I tried it, with 6.0.3, with that too. Previously, it didn’t cause a problem 1 week ago. I was at 2 parties now and it was both days. What could be the problem?
Thanks

Seems 6.0.4 generates some issue. I got me DDJ-1000 freezing for few randomly and the CUE in headphone becoming very weak few minutes before the freezing.
I also seem to have to sound cracking like you, but I feel it only in my recordings.
I also notice that Rekordbox Support - usually quite active in the forum - is becoming really quite about the 6.0.4 issues being reported...
The problem will be different for me.
I used it at the party every week, there was no problem. Windows update has come, there has been a problem ever since. But it’s very confusing that a crackling unexpectedly comes in front of 100 people during a performance.
I also removed the Audio Buffer 960 (20.0 ms).
