XDJ-XZ DVS issue

Hi Iv only just signed up so a little new here. But I’m having an issue with the xz. I have the XZ in the middle and a PLX-1000 either side also an XP2. I have the pioneer control vinyls also the phase remotes. I can receive the control tone from both decks and they play out of my XZ but I can seem to marry the hardware to the software to turn the control tone into music. I feel like I’m missing something very simple here but don’t have a clue what. I have been into menus and changed the line 3/4 to control tone. Iv tried the rekordbox & the link button still no joy. Please if anyone could help it would be much appreciated Thanks

Hey Bob,

That's a great setup with lots of flexibility and options! In order to use the DVS input / control for the XDJ-XZ, you'll need to subscribe to either the Core or Creative plan as the DVS support is included on the XDJ-XZ as a paid expansion.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yeah I was actually told about this subscription service.
This is why I bought an XP2 as I was told it automatically unlocked DVS. But on top of that I have a DVS licence anyway from previous hardware.

So my DVS licence I have will not work and I will have to pay to use the features on my equipment?

If I purchase a DJ interface 2 will I still need to pay a subscription to use DVS with my XZ? Also why has this not been made a lot clearer in the advertising?
I want to avoid paying monthly as I’m sure you can understand that’s not ideal.

@Bob > Sorry - you are 100% correct; the XP2 does unlock DVS mode! I'm sorry I missed that. Do you have the FREE plan activated in the MY PAGE panel?

What is the configuration you have on the audio preferences page? Can you post a screenshot?

Unable to upload a screenshot can’t see an option for it. But it’s all default. My free plan is active. I’m using 6.1.0. Iv updated firmware on xz.
When plugged into my Mac using rekordbox in performance mode I only get sound from my Mac from channel 1. Channel 3&4 still play control tone through monitor speakers ch2 no sound anywhere. On performance mode deck 3/4 both say External input. I’m lost for ideas right now. Guessing it’s just a settings problem

Hi I have now sorted my driver problem so rekordbox recognises the XZ. Also everything works as it should APART from the DVS.
I still just get the control tone.
I have subscribed to the core premium service to see if that worked. It didn’t.
I have accepted rekordbox access to mic. I have updates done and firmware done. Still just getting control tone from the turntables.

On audio settings external input is routed to XDJ-XZ channel 3 and channel 4 so everything should technically work.
What am I missing?
